The Story

Aprilz Fool began when a group of kids from Southern Minnesota shared a dream of recording their own music and making it big. In a parent’s basement, three instruments echoed as they wrote, played, and practiced—slowly shaping the songs that would define their sound.

Recording wasn’t easy. Studio time was expensive, and money was scarce. Thankfully, a local musician and music tech offered to help. Microphone cables were run from an empty basement up through the living room, where a small reel-to-reel machine captured each track.

Now, 35 years later, we’re proud to re-release these memories for family, friends, and longtime fans. What you hear today has been reimagined, remixed, and reborn from the passion of four kids back in 1991.
